Let yourself be enchanted

by the medieval flair of this romantic town

Surrounded by the magic of historic walls, nestled in the tranquillity of the monastery garden, the Burg-Hotel is enthroned above the gentle hills of the lovely Tauber valley on a centuries-old piece of city wall.

Guests can look forward to 15 fantastically beautiful and spacious rooms and suites with unforgettable views of the Tauber valley or the monastery garden.

The Burg-Hotel is ideally situated in Rothenburg to reach the important points of the surrounding area. At the same time, you will find the necessary peace and quiet at our hotel to recover from the experiences and stresses of the day.

Breakfast

In the breakfast room, 80 metres above the Tauber valley, and in fine weather outdoors on the historic city wall, breakfast becomes an experience.

Idyllic monastery garden, your retreat in the countryside

Explore the idyllic monastery garden or simply relax in the midst of this green oasis. Nature lovers will find peace and quiet here.

We wish you a pleasant stay.

Games room

But you won’t get bored in our castle hotel either. Board and card games are waiting for you in our “games cellar”. Here you can relax and enjoy a good wine while watching TV, play the piano, exercise if you feel like it or take a sauna. You can even wash and iron your laundry in our games room.

However, this games cellar is no ordinary cellar. Until 1972, it housed the collection of the Crime Museum (then called the Torture Chamber). Today, works by the artist Marta Hinckeldey-Wittke (1890-1978), who lived and worked in the Burghotel, can be seen here.
